# Troubleshooting & FAQ

Common problems and questions for Squad-Link V2.

## Troubleshooting

<details>

<summary>Players can't see each other's blips</summary>

Players only see each other when they're on the **exact same frequency**. Have both players run `/atac <frequency>` with the same value. `101.1` and `101.10` count as the same.

</details>

<details>

<summary>"… Is an invalid frequency" / "Exceeds the max amount of decimal points allowed"</summary>

Frequencies must be numbers from `0` to `MaxFrequency` with at most two decimal places.

</details>

<details>

<summary>/togglemodel or /changepos does nothing</summary>

Check that `AllowInGameModelChange` or `AllowInGamePositionChange` is `true` in `config.lua`.

</details>

<details>

<summary>The minimap texture looks wrong or another map resource broke</summary>

Squad-Link streams a `minimap.ytd`. If another resource also streams `minimap.ytd`, only one version loads. Remove the duplicate from one of the resources.

</details>

## FAQ

<details>

<summary>Can I hide real player names?</summary>

Yes. Keep `UsePlayerBlipNames = false`, and every blip shows `UseCustomBlipName` (default `Allie`).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does the frequency need a framework or job?</summary>

No. Any player can join any frequency, and no framework is required.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I give everyone the same frequency by default?</summary>

Yes. Set `RandomFirstTimeFreq = false` and choose a `DefaultFrequency`.
